Where are the pictures in my online gallery?
When you login to your online photo gallery, you will see your LIBRARY on the left hand side of the screen. Your photos are organized in your LIBRARY by Date Taken, Date Uploaded, and in Albums that you create. Click on the button with the + symbol to expand a list of files. Click on a file name to see thumbnails of your pictures.

How do I backup the pictures on my computer?
Login to your online gallery and press the ADD PICTURES button to open the Upload Panel. Press the BROWSE button to find pictures on your computer and select the pictures you want to backup. Press the UPLOAD button.

How many pictures can I backup at a time?
You can select as many pictures as you would like to upload. Be aware that the more pictures you select, the longer your total upload time will be.

What file types can I upload?
SnapHaven accepts images uploaded as JPEGs, only. It's easy, because that's what your camera already shoots.

How do I make an album?
To select pictures, click and drag thumbnails to the selection box at the bottom of the screen where it says "Drag pictures here to select". You may select as many pictures as you like from any file. Once you have the selection you like, press the MAKE ALBUM button to name your album and add an album description.

How do I edit an album?
You can add pictures to an existing album by dragging thumbnails directly to the album name in the LIBRARY. You can reorder the thumbnails in an album by dragging them to a new position. And you can remove pictures from an album by dragging them to the trash icon (don't worry, this only removes pictures from albums, it does not delete them from your LIBRARY).

What does this mean?
Scanner resolution determines the size of the digital image. If you sign up for a Snapshot Membership, all of your scans will be 1200x1600px at 300ppi. What do these numbers and abbreviations mean? It means that your pictures will show up great on screen up to 27" diagonal and can be printed up to 8x10".
If you choose the Premium Membership, your scans will vary in size based upon the size of the original. A 4x6" inch print will be 1200x1800px, or 30" diagonal on screen. A 5x7" print will be 1500x2100px, or 35" diagonal on screen. And an 8x10" print will be 2400x3000px, or 53" diagonal on screen.

At SnapHaven we make scanning easy. We charge a flat-fee of $50 for all the loose prints you can fit in a 12" x 12" x 5-1/2" box. to get a flat -rate shipping box for free from the US Post office.

Can I scan slides and negatives?
Due to lack of demand, we have discontinued negative and slide scanning. For members who joined SnapHaven between May and August 2010 we will still honor our 35mm negative and slide scanning offer.

No problem. Just click on "Forgot your password" or send us an email at and we'll send you a temporary password for your account. Use this temporary password to login to your account. Then go to "My Profile" to create a new password.

How can I unsubscribe?
Why on earth would you want to do that? As long as your membership is active, you can back up all of your pictures and store them for life. Oh well. I guess there's no talking you out of it. Send us an email at and put "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.

The nice thing about SnapHaven is that once your pictures are backed up, they never go away. Even if you unsubscribe, you can still login to your online photo gallery, order prints, share and download your pictures. If you unsubscribe, you will not be able to backup pictures again until you re-subscribe.
